Financial Control Manager - Bristol

Company

Global FMCG business in Bristol is now looking to appoint a Financial Accountant into their finance community.  As a primary function within the business, the team is responsible for tracking overall business results, helping maximise financial performance and put in place the right controls to ensure accuracy and transparency of the organisation’s results.

The ideal profile will either be a recently qualified from a Top6 practice looking for their first move into industry, alternatively someone that has trained and qualified in industry, ideally within a PLC environment.

Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the delivery of upcoming transformational projects from a financial control and reporting perspective. It will also support the financial period close for one of the companies’ subsidiaries with responsibility for preparing the IFRS Group year end and interim accounts, as well as the preparation of local GAAP subsidiary accounts across a number of territories..  Specific responsibilities include:

• Support strategic projects from a Controls & Reporting perspective
• Support the delivery of the financials for period close including key period close accounting and reporting activities
• Deal with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance of audits and statutory requirements
• Influence, lead and drive continuous improvement within the team and outside functions which engage with the team, continually challenging the status quo
• Monitoring intercompany recharges and compliance with transfer pricing requirements

About You

As a recently qualified Accountant (either from a Top6 accounting firm or straight from industry with experience in a multinational environment), you will be a self starter and able to work autonomously as well as being flexible.  Benefits include strong basic salary and bonus along with a genuine hybrid work offering.
