Interim Group Financial Controller - Bristol

A global professional services group is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to provide leadership and technical oversight for a period of c6months.  The role falls inside IR35 and will be Bristol based.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the wider finance leadership team, you’ll take ownership of consolidated reporting, statutory compliance, group controls and systems, and play a key role in supporting a complex, multi-entity international business through continued growth and integration.

 

The Role

  • Lead on monthly consolidation, Group Board reporting and banking covenant submissions.
  • Oversee preparation of IFRS statutory accounts and manage the annual external audit.
  • Ensure compliance and alignment of accounting policies across multiple international entities.
  • Maintain robust group controls and drive continuous improvement of ERP systems (NetSuite).
  • Provide commercial and technical finance input to M&A activity and acquisition accounting.
  • Manage and develop a small UK-based and international finance team.

 

About You

  • ACA-qualified (Big 4 or top-tier trained) with significant post-qualified experience in group or divisional finance leadership.
  • Proven track record within professional services, consultancy, or other project-based environments.
  • Deep technical accounting capability under IFRS (including IFRS15 and multi-currency consolidation).
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, international, private-equity-backed environment.
  • Hands-on, commercially aware, and able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
