Coyne & Associates is currently supporting Danone’s UKI commercial finance team with a key Trade Controller Appointment.  Danone UKI is the biggest operation for Danone in Europe (~30% of profits) and accounting for 5% of total Danone Group profit, therefore this is a great opportunity to have a strong impact and visibility across the board.

 

About You

We are looking to attract a recently qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with an excellent grounding in commercial finance and prior experience as Finance Business Partner or Analyst.  The role will help in animate Product Margin Contribution performance which means articulating the whole performance of the Company from NS down to A&P spend to both business and finance stakeholders.  With this in mind we’re looking for a great communicator who can work across a diverse stakeholder base.

The Opportunity

You will work with a variety of stakeholders (including the Consumer and Healthcare Marketing Teams, Finance and Research & Innovation) to drive sustainable, profitable growth within its categories. You will also work closely with the wider Finance team split across London, Dublin and Trowbridge and in partnership with a centralized Finance business services team. Key responsibilities:

  • Month End closing, Forecasting and Reporting for Advertising and Promotion cost across the Specialized Nutrition and the Essential Dairy categories
  • Business partner with marketing heads and senior managers to get a strong understanding of where money is invested, key launches by month, and support them understanding budgets and financial commitments
  • Analyze and share insights on efficiency of spend, working vs non-working media, fix vs variable elements with the aim of maximizing ROI in conjunction with PRGM team
  • Support on Ad-hoc initiatives, business cases, supplier negotiations and other commercial initiatives
  • Support on Internal controls and maintain a strong focus on compliance
