FP&A Manager - Bristol

£70,000-£80,000 - Financial Planning & Analysis
Ref: 874 Date Posted: Tuesday 07 Jul 2026

We're partnering with a fast-paced, consumer-focused business to appoint an ambitious FP&A Manager to play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance across a well-known retail/FMCG brand.

If you're looking for a role where your analysis influences strategy, your insight drives decision-making, and you'll work alongside senior leaders rather than simply report numbers, this is an outstanding opportunity.

This is a business experiencing continued growth and investment, with a culture that values curiosity, collaboration and commercial thinking. You'll become a trusted partner to the leadership team, helping them understand what's happening across the business today while shaping where it's going tomorrow.

The Opportunity

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of planning, forecasting and commercial performance analysis across the business.

You'll work closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, turning financial data into meaningful insight that improves profitability, supports investment decisions and challenges performance.

No two days are the same. One day you'll be modelling the financial impact of a new initiative, the next you'll be presenting trading insight to senior leadership or helping shape the annual budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning process.
  • Deliver insightful weekly and monthly trading analysis.
  • Build reporting that helps leaders make faster, better commercial decisions.
  • Analyse sales, pricing, margin, product mix and promotional performance.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, operations and supply chain teams.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Challenge assumptions, identify risks and uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
  • Support business cases, strategic projects and ad-hoc commercial analysis.

About You

You'll already have experience within FP&A or Commercial Finance and thrive in businesses where pace, change and collaboration are part of everyday life.

We're particularly interested in people from:

  • FMCG
  • Retail
  • Consumer Goods
  • Hospitality
  • Multi-site businesses
  • E-commerce or omnichannel environments

You'll ideally bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Strong FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A naturally curious mindset that looks beyond the numbers.
  • Experience working with large datasets and turning them into clear commercial insight.
