Are you a commercially-astute finance professional ready to step into a pivotal leadership role within a dynamic and growing SME? We’re partnering with an ambitious Bristol-based business to appoint a Head of Finance who will drive financial strategy, strengthen core processes, and play a key role in shaping future growth.
As Head of Finance, you will be the financial backbone of the organisation, partnering with the leadership team to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning. This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility across financial planning, reporting, compliance, and performance management.
Lead the finance function with ownership of management accounts, forecasting and budgeting
Produce accurate and timely financial reporting and board packs
Drive annual planning, scenario modelling and cashflow forecasting
Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with statutory requirements
Partner with commercial teams to add insight into profitability, pricing and cost management
Manage and develop finance team members (accountants/analysts)
Oversee relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, banks, tax advisors)
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
Strong commercial mindset with experience in an SME / high-growth environment
Hands-on experience owning month-end close and management reporting
Excellent communicator capable of building credibility across all levels
Proven ability to influence business decisions with insight and clarity
Comfortable leading and improving finance processes and systems
A key leadership position with real influence on business direction
