Head of Finance | High-Growth Food & Consumer Group
Coyne & Associates has been retained to appoint a Head of Finance for a high-growth, founder-led food group with operations spanning retail, franchising and manufacturing.
The business combines a distinctive consumer proposition with its own food manufacturing operation. As the Group scales, it is seeking a commercially strong, hands-on finance leader to take ownership of the finance function and build the financial infrastructure needed to support its next phase of growth.
This is a pivotal appointment with responsibility across the wider Group. Working closely with the founders, you will bring greater clarity to performance, strengthen financial controls and help translate growth ambitions into sound commercial decisions.
The opportunity
Your priorities will include:
-
Taking ownership of finance across retail, franchise and manufacturing operations.
-
Strengthening monthly management accounts, reporting and controls, providing clear insight into business performance.
-
Improving stock management, product costing and visibility of margins across products and operations.
-
Developing cash flow forecasting, budgeting and planning to support growth and investment decisions.
-
Improving systems and processes to create a more robust and scalable finance function.
-
Partnering with the founders and operational teams to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and improve profitability.
About you
Food manufacturing finance experience is essential. You will understand stock, product costing, margins and the operational drivers of manufacturing performance. Additional experience across retail, hospitality, FMCG or multi-site businesses would be a strong advantage.
You will combine commercial judgement with a willingness to get into the detail. Comfortable in a fast-paced, founder-led SME, you will be able to improve reporting and controls while managing the day-to-day demands of the finance function.
This will suit someone who enjoys building, improving and taking ownership—someone who can turn financial information into practical decisions and establish structure as a business grows.
