£110,000-£120,000 - Financial Controller
Ref: 902 Date Posted: Friday 30 Oct 2026

Coyne & Associates is partnering with an ambitious business expanding its international footprint and reach. As its operations become increasingly global, it is looking to appoint a Head of Financial Control & Group Reporting to help shape the next stage of its development.

Working closely with the CFO, you will bring technical strength, commercial judgement and clear leadership to an evolving group. Your remit will be to build confidence in the numbers, strengthen financial control and develop reporting that supports sound decisions as the business grows.

This opportunity will suit someone who combines rigorous accounting expertise with the energy and adaptability to operate at pace. You will be comfortable making progress through ambiguity, establishing priorities and creating structure as the business develops.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of group financial control and reporting, building the processes, capability and discipline required to support an increasingly international organisation. Key priorities will include:

  • Leading group consolidation and reporting, delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information.

  • Developing financial controls, accounting policies and consistent reporting across international operations.

  • Providing technical accounting leadership, including assessing complex transactions and their implications for the group.

  • Leading the preparation of statutory accounts and managing the external audit relationship.

  • Working with finance colleagues and operational leaders to improve the quality of financial information and resolve issues.

  • Building and developing the finance team, combining clear expectations with practical support and coaching.

  • Helping the CFO anticipate the financial reporting and governance requirements of further growth.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant with a strong grounding in group reporting, consolidation and technical accounting. Your experience may have been gained through a Big Four firm, a multinational group or a combination of practice and industry.

Just as important will be your potential, judgement and appetite to take ownership. You will bring:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and experience preparing or auditing group financial statements.

  • The ability to turn complex accounting matters into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

  • A structured approach, with the flexibility to adapt when priorities change.

  • Confidence working with senior leaders, constructively challenging assumptions and following through on decisions.

  • A supportive leadership style and experience developing others.

  • The willingness to get into the detail while understanding the wider business implications.

  • Curiosity, initiative and the ability to deliver in a fast-moving environment where the answer will not always be obvious.

Why consider it?

This is an opportunity to shape how an ambitious international business controls, reports and understands its performance. You will work closely with the CFO, gain broad exposure to the business and build a function capable of supporting its next phase of growth.
