You qualified in accountancy. Where you’ve taken it since is what interests us.

Perhaps you’ve moved into investing, helped a founder scale a business, led acquisitions, launched a venture or taken on commercial and strategic responsibilities beyond a conventional finance remit.

An ambitious, growing technology business is looking for a qualified accountant with the curiosity, commercial instinct and judgement to help shape its next phase of growth.

Working closely with the founder and leadership team, you’ll evaluate opportunities, challenge assumptions and help turn significant business decisions into results.

The remit spans:

  • Capital allocation: evaluating investment across products, capabilities, infrastructure and markets.

  • M&A and partnerships: assessing acquisitions, strategic partnerships and buy-versus-build opportunities.

  • Financing and shareholder matters: supporting funding decisions, capital structure and potential share buybacks.

  • International expansion: assessing new markets and establishing overseas operations.

  • Business structure and efficiency: evaluating the tax, cost and commercial implications of growth.

You’ll combine rigorous analysis with practical judgement, make clear recommendations and help implement the decisions that follow.

Your qualification is the foundation. Your experience and potential set you apart.

You must be a qualified accountant—ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent—with evidence of applying your financial grounding to broader business decisions.

Your career may have taken you through corporate development, investing, strategic finance, commercial leadership or an entrepreneurial business. You may already hold a senior position, or be ready for a significant step up.

You don’t need to have covered every aspect of the remit. You do need to demonstrate the ability and ambition to grow into it.

There is a strong preference for someone already based in Bristol or the surrounding area, able to work closely and regularly with the leadership team in person.
