£65,000-£75,000 - Commercial Finance
Ref: 810 Date Posted: Thursday 09 Oct 2025

We’re looking for a commercially astute finance professional to join a dynamic, fast-paced consumer business — supporting growth, improving profitability and helping shape strategic direction.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of the commercial finance team, partnering closely with trading, marketing and operations to turn data into meaningful insight and drive better business decisions.

The role

  • Act as a true business partner to commercial teams, providing challenge, analysis and insight across key trading categories.

  • Build a clear understanding of how pricing, product mix, promotions and cost pressures influence margin and performance.

  • Support the planning cycle — helping shape budgets, forecasts and long-term strategies with sound financial analysis.

  • Track performance against plan, identifying risks and opportunities, and influencing stakeholders on the right actions to take.

  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and financial modelling to support new initiatives, investment decisions and business cases.

  • Work collaboratively with data and reporting teams to ensure information is accurate, accessible and actionable.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve reporting, simplify processes and drive value across the P&L.

About you

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or equivalent analytical background.

  • Proven experience in a commercial, trading or category finance role — ideally within retail, FMCG or another consumer-led sector.

  • Naturally curious and commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.

  • Strong analytical capability, able to link operational activity with financial outcomes.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

This role offers the chance to make a visible impact in a business that values proactive thinking, cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.
