Indirect Tax Manager (Private Equity) - Bristol

c£65,000 - Tax
Ref: 784 Date Posted: Thursday 05 Jun 2025

Are you looking to take the lead in a fast-paced, commercially-focused tax environment with both UK and international exposure?

We’re supporting a high-growth, private equity-backed business in the search for an Indirect Tax Manager to join their finance leadership team at a pivotal time in their scale-up journey. This role offers a rare blend of technical depth, strategic influence, and commercial visibility — with genuine scope to shape how tax is managed across a growing group structure.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the group’s indirect tax compliance and reporting processes (VAT/GST), including review of returns and process improvement.

  • Advise on the indirect tax implications of commercial initiatives, new markets, product launches and M&A.

  • Build relationships across finance, legal and operations to ensure tax risk is well-managed and opportunities are captured.

  • Work closely with external advisors and support international tax obligations as the group expands.

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified accountant and/or tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA) with post-qualification experience in industry or practice (Big Four or leading mid-tier).

  • Strong working knowledge of UK VAT and indirect tax compliance frameworks; international experience (EU or global) a plus.

  • Experience in a fast-growth, changing environment — whether from industry or advising high-growth clients.

  • A confident communicator who can operate with both technical credibility and commercial pragmatism.

Why this role:

  • Private equity backing means transformation, investment, and opportunity.

  • You'll sit at the heart of decision-making with a genuine seat at the table.

  • Opportunity to make your mark building out best practice in an evolving tax environment.

This is an excellent move for someone looking to step out of practice or a senior in-house tax professional ready for more ownership and strategic input.
