Financial Controller - Bristol

Company

VC led business in Bristol has a newly created role for a ACA/ACCA.  We would ideally be looking for you to step into your first Financial Controller role and bring with you a strong controls/audit background.  Having gone through a recent Series C fundraising activity, the business is now looking to scale and reach the next level.

Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee the company’s financial control agenda and provide operational insight and financial guidance/challenge.  Specific responsibilities include:

• Growing and leading the Finance team to ensure this runs smoothly to deliver the wider business strategy and producing accurate financial and management information in line with deadlines.
• Preparation and ownership of budgeting and forecasting cycle.
• Analysing results against budget and recommending changes to improve financial performance.
• Ensuring financial systems comply with group policies and are efficient and have appropriate controls.
• Overseeing the cashflow to ensure that the company operates within its cash resources at all times.
• Acting as a key finance business partner to all key internal and external stakeholders.
• Working as part of a newly formed leadership team and support growth across current and new business lines.

About You

Preferably ACA with 3-6yrs PQE, you will constantly seeks to improve processes and procedures so as to add value; works around problems and seek to find solutions and efficiencies.  Credible, assertive and articulate, you will create strong impact in your communication style and demonstrate a strong connectivity with all level of staff and stakeholders.  This is a compelling opportunity to take on your first Financial Controller role within a high growth scalable and entrepreneurial business looking to take and own market share.
