Head of FP&A - South West

Highly acquisitive PLC in the South West now seeks to appoint a Head of FP&A.  Reporting to the FP&A Director and with dotted line to the CFO, you will be a key addition to this high performing finance team.  Working closely with the Exec to steer the short- and long-term performance management of the business and allocation of resources to support the delivery of the financial plan, you will play a key role in supporting the financial information model, performance management cycle and analytical tools to support a dynamic performance process across the business. 

 

Role

Developing the FP&A function, you will be the key conduit between the financial planning team and commercial stakeholders, providing input and influence over ROI drivers.  Enjoying a highly visible role, you will be exposed to all commercial functions along with the SMT and Exec Board.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and leading the annual budgeting and monthly re-forecasting cycles with an emphasis on ‘what if’ scenario modelling
  • Providing relevant and timely monthly analysis of business performance
  • Developing and monitoring business KPIs
  • Identifying and providing decision support to critical initiatives that maximise growth
  • Maintaining and improving the rolling 3 Year Plan, including identifying opportunities for growth and key areas of concern

 

About You

As a graduate qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA), you will have experience within a commercial finance or FP&A setting with likely 5+yrs PQE.  You will possess a sound understanding of financial forecasts and analytical models and have a hands-on approach to data analysis, modelling and simulation of complex systems.  You will be comfortable driving change and developing and executing operational processes at scale and working in a time sensitive environment with tight deadlines.
