Renewables / Energy | Scenario & Margin Modelling 3–6 Months | Start: January 2026 | £500–£600 per day | Outside IR35
We’re supporting a growing renewables / energy platform that requires an experienced interim commercial finance specialist to support a defined period of modelling, insight and decision support as the business navigates its next phase of growth.
This is a project-led interim assignment with clear deliverables, focused on strengthening commercial insight, margin visibility and scenario planning rather than BAU finance cover.
Build and refine scenario models to support strategic decision-making (pricing, growth, funding and operational levers)
Develop robust margin and contribution analysis across products, assets or contracts
Stress-test assumptions across different volume, cost and market scenarios
Translate complex data into clear commercial insight for senior leadership
Support budgeting, forecasting and medium-term planning with a commercial lens
Partner closely with leadership across Finance, Operations and Commercial teams
Proven interim commercial finance experience within renewables, energy or infrastructure-adjacent environments
Strong track record in scenario modelling, margin analysis and commercial forecasting
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, evolving businesses (scale-up, PE-backed or project-based environments)
Advanced Excel / financial modelling capability; able to work independently and deliver at pace
Commercially minded, pragmatic and able to challenge assumptions constructively
Day Rate: c. £500–£600 (Outside IR35)
Duration: 3–6 months
Start: January 2026
Location: UK-based (hybrid / remote depending on candidate)
This role will suit an experienced commercial finance interim who can quickly add value, bring clarity to complex scenarios and leave the business with stronger decision-making tools in place.
